Villa Eden in new splendour: Season opening at Lago di Garda
After a successful re-styling, the resort is ready for little escapes
The first weekend in May marks the start of the 2021 season at Villa Eden Luxury Resort. Beautifully situated, the boutique hotel and designer villas offer the ideal destination for an upscale getaway high above Lake Garda. The resort for the special demand shows itself with many innovations to offer its guests the optimum and to make the stay with a dreamlike lake view as pleasant as possible.
There is hardly a more beautiful region to enjoy spring than Lake Garda and the mountainous landscape that merges into the open plain surrounding Lido di Gada. Perched on a hill overlooking the picturesque village of Gardone, with the mountains of the Lombard Alps at its back, the Eden Resort offers from its terraces and rooms one of the absolute most beautiful views of southern Lake Garda, which emerges there from the narrow Alpine valley and opens out onto the plain between Verona and Cremona.
Re-styling of the terrace in collaboration with Vincenzo Dascanio
Surrounded by the almost untouched nature of the “Parco dell’Alto Garda”, the resort with its incomparable charm is an oasis of peace. The spectacular restaurant terrace of the boutique hotel has been redesigned. Involved in this perfect re-styling is the internationally renowned event and setting designer Vincenzo Dascanio from Milan, an original designer of events and spaces. Dascanio likes to play with colours, floral shapes and geometries from nature, which he creatively implements in his very own way.
The name of the hotel complex will also undergo a re-branding in 2021, the beautiful, sprawling complex will be rebranded as “Eden Reserve – Hotel & Villas”from the middle of the year.
Expansion of the culinary offer in the restaurant and the villas
The gastronomic offers of the resort were further adapted to the wishes of the guests, especially by expanding the culinary offer in the villas with half board and maxibar.
Marco Carasi has been head of the kitchen since last year. Cooking is much, much more than preparing food, says Carasi: “Cooking is pure poetry”. And so, in the kitchen of the talented young chef, refined culinary creations are created, the kind that can be found in upscale trattorias and which, for all their exuberant creativity and sophistication, do not want to deny their basis in the world-renowned tradition of Italian cuisine.
The Italian answer to Champagne: Excellent Spumante from Franciacorta in an expanded wine list
The carefully curated wine list is complemented by collaborations with other top-class wine producers, such as Bellavista in the famous Lombard wine region of Franciacorta, just a few kilometres from Lake Garda. Bellavista is one of the most important wineries there. Here, exclusively from their own vineyards, they produce above all outstanding spumante, which are vinified according to the Méthode Traditionelle, the classic method of Champagne bottle fermentation. The high quality of Bellavista’s products is based on the consistent manual work in the vineyards, the gentle pressing of the grapes and their own philosophy of vinification in the cellars, which gives the cuvées their very own signature. The resort’s well-maintained wine cellar has some rarities in bottles in stock here, and a more in-depth collaboration with the Bellavista winery is planned from the summer.
New Spa-Line by Susanne Kaufmann on offer at Villa Eden
A new spa product line has also been set up for the guests of the resort, with products from Susanne Kaufmann. These exclusive natural cosmetics stand for the power of nature through their natural ingredients. Susanne Kaufmann had initially developed this uncompromising spa range only for her own hotel in the Bregenzerwald in Austria. But her products, which also incorporate ancient knowledge of plants and traditional formulas, quickly became widely known and sought after. This skincare line, which promotes skin health and a holistic sense of well-being, is now also available to guests at the Villa Eden Luxury Resort, where it complements the rich abundance of service and indulgence.
The resort high above Lake Garda is part of the SIGNA Luxury Collection. The company sets the highest standards in the conception, development and marketing of unique destinations in the most beautiful places in Central Europe and it is the owner and operator of impressive luxury hotels and resorts. In addition to the Chalet N in Lech am Arlberg and the Park Hyatt Vienna in Vienna, the famous luxury Hotel Bauer in the heart of the lagoon city of Venice is also part of the collection.
It goes without saying that the Villa Eden Luxury Resort on Lake Garda complies with hygiene requirements in all areas with regard to the Corona 19 pandemic. A negative antigen test and the wearing of a face mask on the resort premises are currently required upon arrival.
